Study/Volunteer in Israel

Sar-El

Sar-El is a volunteer program that takes place on Israeli Defense Force (IDF) bases throughout all of Israel from the northern points of the Golan to deep in the Southern Negev. Sar-El is the only volunteer program on IDF bases.

Volunteers have the opportunity to live and work alongside soldiers, base employees, and other volunteers on an IDF base, performing non-combat civilian support duties such as packing medical supplies, repairing machinery and equipment; packing and checking equipment as well as cleaning, painting, and maintaining the base. Sar-El offers the IDF logistical support throughout Israel by the efforts of our volunteers.

Sar-El creates a unique volunteer experience that fosters new friendships while forming a cultural exchange between Israel and the volunteers’ home country.
