Faces of Hope: A Photographic Tribute to Winnipeg's Holocaust Survivors

Jewish Federation of Winnipeg, March of the Living Canada and the Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada are excited to announce a project to honour our Winnipeg Holocaust survivors. We are planning a photographic tribute to our survivors, including those who are sadly no longer with us, as part of a very special exhibition named Faces of Hope. Accompanying each photo will be a brief biographical sketch that our community can share for many generations to come.

The exhibition will highlight the stories of loss, grief, survival, and renewal of these wonderful men and women who have inspired us with their strength and resilience. This important exhibition will ensure that the torch of remembrance will be passed along to future generations.

If you or your family would like to feature a loved one in this exhibit, please submit 1 of the 2 forms below.

For more information, please contact Mara Pellettieri at 204.477.7424.

***For all living Survivors, we will arrange a photo to be taken of you.

We cherish every contribution to the Faces of Hope project. We understand and respect that there are some who may prefer to send in the photo without the additional information outlining their experiences in the Shoah. The principal goal of the project is to collect photos of Winnipeg Holocaust survivors for the purposes of a photographic tribute.
