The Community Planning Committee of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg is pleased to announce the launch of a new broad based community planning process.
The first step is to embark on a broad based consultation process to hear the voices of community members. The consultations will culminate in a planning day next winter. These are prelude to action planning for the long term well-being of the Winnipeg Jewish community.
Carol Duboff, Chair, is excited to get started. “It’s timely to listen to the community and factor the diversity of views that our community enjoys into the actions of our leaders and organizations for the next ten years.”
Every voice counts and every member of the Jewish community is invited to:
- Answer a short survey
- Attend a Community Conversation
- Volunteer for an action planning task force
The results of this process will guide community efforts for the next several years, and everyone has a stake in the future of the Jewish community.
The breadth of this process will rival the Federation’s Strategic Review process completed in 2009 that engaged more than 250 people and two dozen organizations in thinking about the future of the Jewish community of Winnipeg. The actions resulting from the Strategic Review were far reaching as the Planning Committee responded to the expressed needs of the community, and will again result in action planning in a variety of areas that involve the delivery partners and volunteer leadership.
