On October 2, over 50 women came to celebrate the Women’s Philanthropy Opening event, at the home of Belva London. Guest speaker Karla Berbrayer shared her family’s story and the support they received from the Shalom Residences. Karla’s speech was moving and powerful! Nancy Hughes, Executive Director at Shalom Residences answered questions related to the organizational goals and objectives, which mainly focus on enabling people with intellectual disabilities to become self-sufficient.
