Israeli Consul General DJ Schneeweiss visited Winnipeg on June 16-17, 2015. He met with Winnipeg's newly elected mayor, Brian Bowman, as well as various government and education officials, and the  leadership of the Jewish community before paying tribute to former Winnipeg Federation CEO Bob Freedman at the JNF Gala.
