On November 9, 2017, a community-wide Kristallnacht commemoration was held in the Berney Theatre, featuring the film “Joe’s Violin”. In the award-winning short documentary film, a donated musical instrument forges an improbable friendship between 91-year-old Holocaust survivor Joe Feingold and 12-year-old Bronx school girl Brianna Perez. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the film and commemoration service.
