Over the past several days, Israel has been under continuous attack by Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. We have watched in shock and horror as hundreds of rockets have rained down on cities throughout Israel, striking fear into the hearts of civilians across the country, causing injury and death.

We wish those who have been injured a speedy recovery and grieve alongside the families of those who have been killed in this escalating violence. We stand in solidarity with Israel, support its right to defend itself, and pray for swift de-escalation of the conflict.

Shimon Koffler Fogel, President & CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), will brief our community on the Canadian political and policy aspects of this issue, sharing insights into CIJA’s strategic advocacy and how community members can play a vital role.
