Jewish Education for Children

Our Jewish future begins with accessible and affordable Jewish education and engaged, passionate leaders. Throughout Winnipeg, many opportunities exist for young people to connect with their heritage and find meaning through diverse and enriching Jewish learning.

Aleph-Bet Life Enrichment Program Inc.

Aleph-Bet Child Life Enrichment Program Inc. is proud to be one of three licensed Jewish child care centres in Winnipeg. We offer high quality child care and education to all children ages 2 to 12 years. We have three centres located in the Seven Oaks School Division area. In partnership with the family, the school, and the community, we endeavour to support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Rady JCC Child Care Centers

The Rady JCC prides itself on providing children with a caring environment that develops young minds and bodies. Early Learning Centres are licensed by Manitoba Government, Early Learning and Child Care Program, Department of Families and contribute to that mandate.

Gray Academy of Jewish Education

As Western Canada’s only Junior Kindergarten-Grade 12 Jewish day school, Gray Academy provides unparalleled opportunities for students of all ages to learn, grow and build lasting relationships in an environment of academic excellence framed by Jewish values, culture, community and celebration. Our unique balance of General and Judaic studies challenges students to reach beyond the basic Manitoba curriculum to develop their creativity, curiosity and critical thinking skills, along with their own sense of spirituality and Jewish identity. Our rich arts, athletics, debate and public speaking, leadership and language programs empower students to connect, collaborate and thrive in and out of the classroom.

Brock Corydon School

Brock Corydon is a public school offering a Hebrew bilingual program. Effective language acquisition occurs through the integrated delivery of subject area content, language instruction and cultural information. The Hebrew language is used to explore ideas and experiences to construct a meaning and communicate understanding. Language and culture are intensely intertwinded. Language is the primary means by which cultural information is transmitted. Our program provides opportunities and supports for students to explore their own cultural backgrounds, experiences and identities.

Oholei Torah Day School

Licensed by the Manitoba Department of Education, Oholei Torah is a full-day school. It provides the highest level of education for both general and Jewish studies, from JK through grade seven. Smaller classes allow for personalized attention to each child’s needs. Students are proficient in Hebrew, Yiddish, Tefila, Chumash, Rashi, Mishna and Talmud.

Irma Penn School of Jewish Learning

Under the guidance of our Rabbi and School Director, children are exposed to the cultural, social, historical and ethical aspects of Judaism. The curriculum includes the Jewish life cycle, holidays, festivals, Shabbat, Hebrew, blessings and synagogue skills. Classes are Wednesday after school and Sunday mornings.
