Leave More Than Memories
It may be difficult to imagine that Jewish organizations and services will be there for your grandchildren like they were for you. Through the Jewish Federation’s Endowment Fund, you can help sustain the Federation’s vital programs and services, our beneficiary agencies, and Jewish people at risk worldwide.
Over 600 individuals have already invested in our endowment, generating over $350,000 in support for the CJA Campaign this past year alone. That’s a powerful demonstration of what’s possible when we think long-term.
Consider your opportunity to invest in tomorrow, today.

In addition to your annual donation to the CJA Campaign, there are other ways to support the Federation’s work. Your annual gift supports the current needs of the Federation and beneficiary agencies. Endowments provide a consistent, stable stream of support year after year, securing the future you’re already helping to build.
Each of us—regardless of age, wealth, or affiliation—can leave a legacy.
Tzedakah, or charity, is a Jewish value. Giving tzedakah deepens our ability to see others and their humanity. It allows us to grow into the best version of ourselves, and ultimately helps improve the world we live in.
What is an endowment fund?
Endowment funds are unique because only the interest earned by the fund is distributed. The principal, the original donation, is never touched.
Your donation to the Federation’s Endowment is pooled and invested to provide a sustained annual contribution to the Combined Jewish Appeal Campaign. That means your investment will continue to make an impact, year after year.
The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba manages the Federation’s Endowment Fund.
In 2024, more than $350,000 flowed from our endowment to support Federation programs and beneficiary agencies.
Why Endowment?
By establishing or growing your investment in the Federation’s Endowment Fund, you demonstrate your belief in the continuity of Jewish life for generations to come. A gift of endowment ensures that your generosity and vision will have a lasting impact, long after your lifetime.
There are many options available to support the Federation's and its beneficiaries' work forever. You can grow your Federation endowment through planned giving or lifetime giving.
Legacy/Planned Gift:
Name the Federation in your will or life insurance policy. Many in our community have already chosen this path to ensure the values they hold dear live on.
Lifetime Giving:
Make an immediate impact by contributing to the Federation’s Endowment Fund or your Donor Advised Fund. Through your Donor Advised Fund you can designate the Jewish Federation as the recipient of your fund’s investment income.
Whether you choose to give once or regularly, you are helping nurture a culture of generosity and care within our community.
Join us in making a lasting impact. Your contribution today ensures a better tomorrow for our entire community.
