The Older Adult scene at the Rady Jewish Community Centre is for those individuals 55 years and older.
The Stay Young Club runs from September until July at the Rose and Max Rady Jewish Community Centre. The program is designed to enhance quality of life and provide opportunities for maintaining wellness through social, cultural, educational and fitness programs. It provides a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and enjoy new experiences. The club meets every Tuesday for an Educultural Hour and Kosher Lunch.
Other programs for older adults at the Rady JCC include activities such as weekly Mahjong, Digital Camera Photography Courses, Current Events Groups, Senior friendly fitness programs, Friday Night Shabbat Dinners, Jewish Holiday programs and concerts, local and out of town travel opportunities, etc.
A transportation program to ensure that older adults in the Jewish community of
Taxi Voucher program: This program is offered by the Rady JCC with assistance from the Tallman Family Grant to older adults who are now no longer able to drive. A limited number of Taxi Vouchers are available for purchase from November until the end of April. These vouchers may be used until the end of August.
