At the Kaufman Rady JCC Child Care Centre we endeavour to provide support and
enrichment to children to prepare them for life in the Jewish and broader based
communities. By providing children with Judaic and other educational experiences
we hope to instil a respect for their own culture as well as others.
The Kaufman Centre offers opportunities to children ages 3 months to 12 years of age.
Our dynamic program offers infants a safe warm atmosphere to learn, grow and
develop. We follow the needs of each individual baby and work with parents in order to
provide a happy environment in which to send their baby.
The toddler/preschool children have a full day with emphasis on Jewish culture and
creative opportunities. We combine art, science large muscle, language, music to
provide children with a large array of activities. We celebrate Shabbat every Friday as
well as all other Jewish holidays. This year we began a new curriculum called Ethical
Start. It teaches preschool children Perkei Avot – Jewish Ethics that are universal.
Also, children who are three to five years of age have an option to take swim lessons
or Israeli dance classes during the day.
