Chesed Shel Emes is the community Chevra Kadisha/Burial Society.   Our name, Chesed Shel Emes (CSE), translates from Hebrew as “true loving kindness”, a term used to describe the act of caring for the dead, which includes safekeeping and ritual preparation according to Halachic tradition.

Our staff is on call 24/7 for assistance at your time of need . We work cooperatively in the community to ensure that a Jewish burial is available to every Jewish person. No one is refused service based on finances. We also provide education and resources to the Jewish and general communities on all topics related to Jewish death and mourning.

We serve as the storehouse for sacred ritual books and items and co-ordinage the communty Geniza bural.
