Art at the Zedek is delighted to announce our second installation of three artists whose work enlivens our upper lounge and foyer. Landscapes, sacred space figurative space and abstraction - Art at the Zedek 2.0 illustrates the broad range of approaches of the visual arts today by three distinctly different artists. Painter Clare Whiteman is inspired by the trees, water, skies and rock of the Canadian Shield and their meditative spaces. Ruth Livingston works with image and Hebrew text using calligraphy and ethereal watercolours, interpreting and renewing familiar lines of prayer and psalm. Artist Shosh Shalev Minuk plays with colour and shape in both abstraction and figuration with joy and exuberance. What is the power of Art in the Jewish community? Join us for the opening and the artists' talks. Have a nosh, celebrate the visual, schmooze with the community, and celebrate our local artists!
Exhibit opening - Thursday, September 22 at 7:00 PM. Exhibition continues until November 24.
