This year’s KRISTALLNACHT program will be entitled the Philippine-Jewish connection and will honour the Filipino community for their efforts in providing a place of refuge for German Jews before the Holocaust.

Featuring “Rescue in the Philippines”, a one hour documentary of how the Freider brothers, together with Manuel Quezon, the first president of the Philippines; Paul McNutt, US High Commissioner and former governor of Indiana; and Army Colonel Dwight Eisenhower helped 1,200 Jews escape the Nazis and immigrate to the Philippines.
