Christian-Jewish Dialogue of Canada

7:00PM - 8:30PM

The Christian Jewish Dialogue of Canada was formed in February 2024 with the following purposes:

To foster religious and cultural understanding between Christians and Jews, an understanding grounded in a shared biblical tradition.

To denounce religious and racial prejudice, hatred and discrimination with particular reference to antisemitism.

To make common cause for religious and racial harmony, primarily within Canada, a common cause grounded in a shared prophetic biblical tradition.

The group is committed to the principles of religious and cultural understanding between Christians and Jews, opposing antisemitism and prejudice, and promoting religious and racial harmony.

Norman Tobias and Geoffrey Ready, who are among the founding directors of the Christian Jewish Dialogue of Canada, will be in Winnipeg  on September 15 as part of their cross-country meetings with Jews and Christians in dialogue in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver.

The meeting will take place at 7 pm   in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Asper Jewish Community Campus.

The objective is to build relationships through in-person dialogue

They are interested in hearing what’s happening in Winnipeg as far as Christian-Jewish relations are concerned, and in particular, in the matter of antisemitic rhetoric and incidents.
