Pianist/bassist Ron Paley played bass with the big bands of Buddy Rich and Woody Herman, and then formed the Ron Paley Big Band, which has performed original compositions for big band and symphony orchestra in concert with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Together with the powerhouse vocalist Charlotte Martin, this duo will perform The Best of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Soul, featuring works by Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday and other great Black American Singers.
