The Rev. Dr. James Taylor Christie, Professor Emeritus of Theology at the University of Winnipeg, is an internationally recognized scholar, author, editor, and religious diplomat. An ordained minister of The United Church of Canada (UCC) and a former Acting Secretary General of Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations for the UCC, he has also served as Dean of Theology and Inaugural Dean of the Global College (U of W). A theologian, thinker, scholar, and entertaining speaker, he has more than fifty years in Christian-Jewish Dialogue, regionally, nationally, and globally.

About our Speaker: The Rev. Dr. James Taylor Christie is Professor Emeritus of Theology of The University of Winnipeg. An internationally recognized scholar, author, editor, and religious diplomat, he is an ordained minister of The United Church of Canada, and former Acting Secretary General of Ecumenism and Interfaith Relations for the UCC. He has served as Dean of Theology and as the Inaugural Dean of the Global College of The University of Winnipeg; founding Ambassador at Large of the Canadian Multifaith Federation; and a founding member of the G20 Interfaith Forum Foundation. Dr. Christie has held the presidency of the Canadian Council of Churches, and established the first professorship of Whole World Ecumenism and Dialogue Theology in Canada. The Golden Thread integrating his life’s work has been his more than fifty years in Christian-Jewish Dialogue, regionally, nationally, and globally. Dr. Christie is co-editor and contributing author of three internationally acclaimed books, and hundreds of articles, essays, and public addresses on every continent. (Save Antarctica.)
