Guest speakers, Joshua Malam and Rachamim Enoch Coad, will speak from the Bimah about the work of the Jewish - Pride and Inclusion Committee, powered by the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. Following the service, please stay for an enhanced Kiddush and chat with old friends and new ones. Everyone is welcome—we look forward to celebrating together! No registration necessary.

About Our Guest Speakers:

Joshua Malam is a lifelong activist in the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community. Community service and connection has always been a foundational principal taught through example from family and mentors alike. The Jewish community has brought much value to Joshua throughout his life, and through recent political climate within the Queer Community, he has found a home waiting for him with open arms. Joshua currently serves as Chair of the Jewish - Pride and Inclusion Committee, a subcommittee of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg Task Force, where he has helped to bring the Jewish voice to negotiate, and build community bridges with external partners, and help to ensure Winnipeg's Jewish Community is a soft place to land for Jewish 2SLGBTQIA+ community membership. Joshua is also one of Shaarey Zedek's own. Proud to serve the congregation and our community.

Rachamim Enoch Coad is a Jewish Civil Rights Activist where he is deeply passionate about standing up against Antisemitism in all its forms as well as other broader human rights issues. He is an active member of the Jewish community in many different facets and one of those being the Vice Chair of their Jewish - Pride & Inclusion Committee at the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg. He also has past work with the Canadian Jewish Labour Committee on fighting antisemitism within unions in Manitoba and Nationally as well as speaking at Legislative Standing Committees.
