Shaarey Zedek Remembrance Service

9:00AM - 10:30AM

We will come TOGETHER – in-person and online – this Remembrance Day during morning Minyan to honour our fallen heroes who fought for peace. This commemoration will feature an enhanced Minyan service conducted by Rabbi Anibal Mass, and Tali Millo, Lay Clergy, and incorporate elements of the traditional General Monash Remembrance Service.

‘In Flanders Fields*’ will be recited by Gray Academy of Jewish Education students in several languages (pre-recorded).

Names of fallen Canadian Jewish soldiers from World War I, II, and the Israeli War of 1948 will be read.

We will take a moment of silence, beginning first with the sounds of the trumpet performing ‘Last Post’ and ending after the silence with ‘Reville’.

Our Spiritual Leader, Rabbi Anibal Mass, will share a special Remembrance Day message for this important ceremony.
