Noa Tishby is an Israeli-American performing artist, producer, author and activist. In April 2022, Noa was appointed as Israel’s first-ever Special Envoy for Combating Antisemitism and Delegitimization of Israel. Noa is a keynote speaker and panelist; she has spoken at the United Nations General Assembly, and was named one of the 50 Most Powerful Jews in the World. In 2021, Noa published her first book, Israel: a Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth.
A Tel Aviv native, Tishby served in the Israeli army before landing a starring role on the nation’s highest-rated prime time drama, Ramat Aviv Gimmel. After appearing in numerous TV shows, films, theater productions and fashion campaigns, Tishby moved to Los Angeles where she sold the Israeli TV show In Treatment to HBO. Tishby earned a Peabody Award and Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her work on the show.
After years of speaking and writing about Israel, both publicly and privately, Tishby has deciphered how to explain the complexities of Israel in a clear and relatable way. Her first book Israel: a Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth, was published in 2021 by Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. She is the founder of “Act for Israel,” Israel’s first online advocacy organization.
We are thrilled to welcome Noa to Winnipeg and foresee this event as an opportunity to unite all of Winnipeg’s diverse communities in standing together against antisemitism. We hope we can count on your support.
