Holocaust Awareness Committee of the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg

Composed of survivors, members of the Second Generation Group, alumni of the March of the Living and educators, the Committee:

  ·   Organizes Holocaust Awareness Week - a week of commemorative services and educational programs around Yom Hashoah.

  ·   Organizes Kristallnacht programming.

Permanent Holocaust Gallery at Museum

Sign the online petition!

To counter those in Canada who do not want to see the inclusion of a pemanent Holocaust Gallery in the upcoming Canadian Museum for Human rights, the Jewish Heritage Centre has created an online petition that it will present to the Content Advisory Committee of the museum. Record Crowd Commemorates Kristallnacht

An over-capacity crowd filled the Berney Theatre on November 9th for the Annual Kristallnacht Commemorative Program. A brief memorial service, led by March of the Living Alumni, was followed by an extremely informative lecture on Canada and the 1936 Olympics by Prof. Harold Troper (OISE/U of Toronto).
